Is housing still available for the 2021-2022 academic year?
FALL 2021:
- On-campus housing is at full capacity for Fall 2021.
- If students are still interested in living on campus for the fall semester, please email housinginfo@vanguard.edu to be added to the wait list. Placement mid-year is not guaranteed.
SPRING 2022:
- On-campus housing is available for students on a first come-first serve basis as space is available.
- Spring housing applications will open Monday, November 8 on the Housing Portal.
- All residential students must submit a $200 housing deposit at www.vanguard.edu/housingdeposit.
What is required for me to move into housing?
Once approved for on-campus housing, student must schedule a check-in time with Residence Life by emailing housinginfo@vanguard.edu and comply with the following COVID testing procedures prior to moving into campus housing:
VACCINE VERIFICATION PROCEDURE:
All students:
- Vanguard University will require everyone, whether vaccinated or not, to wear a mask while indoors. This policy will remain in place while Orange County is in "high" or "substantial" level of COVID-19 community transmission, as defined by the CDC. Please visit ForwardVU for an overview of community expectations and health protocol for the fall semester
- Vanguard University strongly encourages, but does not require, students and employees to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. COVID-19 vaccinated students may be excused from health regulations but must verify their vaccination status by securely uploading their vaccination records through Med+Proctor, free of charge. No student is required to verify their vaccine status with the university.
Residential students:
- All unvaccinated residential students, students with unverified or unavailable vaccination records, or students who choose to not disclose their vaccination records will be required to complete a COVID-19 test at the time of check-in. Testing will be provided free of charge by the University and external test results will not be accepted unless the individual has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 90 days. Fully vaccinated students are defined as exempt.
- If you choose to submit your vaccination records, upload them to Med+Proctor one week prior to your scheduled move-in date. The record must be “verified” by Med+Proctor to be considered vaccinated and therefore, exempt from testing on the day of move-in.
- If you have tested positive in the last 90 days of your arrival date, please upload test results here.
- Students subject to COVID-19 testing may not eat or drink 30 minutes prior to testing (this includes chewing gum).
What will be different in housing due to COVID-19?
Enhanced health and safety protocols are in place. All students, faculty and staff on campus should follow CDC recommended guidance to minimize the risk of contracting and spreading any respiratory viral illnesses including:
