The state reports a need for an additional 100,000 teachers over the next decade in all locations including both high-density urban areas and rural areas. Students who choose to enter the teaching profession can anticipate a stable, long-lasting and rewarding career in education.

In partnership with Vanguard University, The Jesse Miranda Center for Hispanic Leadership is committed to building greater capacity in emerging and existing Latino leaders for the purpose of transforming the church, community, and campus through: education, leadership, and research.
It is the Miranda Center's priority to assist in the University's strategic plan to educate, equip, and empower Hispanic student leaders to engage and serve the church, marketplace, and the global world.
The Miranda center engages in the discovery of applied research, development through education and training, dissemination of articles and other resources for implementing best practices and creative strategies for the improvement of Hispanic student success, retention and graduation.
The Vanguard University Graduate Program in Education celebrated student accomplishments during its annual dinner banquet, which acknowledged their completion of the California Preliminary Multiple-Subject or Single-Subject Teaching Credential, and the Master’s degree in Education.
