Grants

The Office of Grants, Research, and Sponsored Programs (GRASP) serves as a resource to find extramural funding opportunities and builds capacities of faculty and staff to pursue extramural funding through technical assistance, training, and strategic proposal review. Further, GRASP provides the administrative infrastructure for the development and submission of proposals, and for the receipt and management of funds, for the sponsored programs of the University. This Office provides guidelines and general application procedures for grants, contracts and sponsored research. Specifically, these services include:

  • Post-award assistance to faculty, staff, and the campus in administering awards both fiscally and programmatically
  • Facilitating Summer Undergraduate Research Program for faculty and students
  • Hosting Vanguard Scholars Day
  • Oversight of the process for granting travel support for Student Researchers
  • Collaborative Support for Institutional Review Board (IRB), Animal Care (ACUC) and ethics training
