- Christian Experience Statement: prompt listed below.
- Limit your typed response to 500 words. Statement will be evaluated on content, grammar and spelling. Include your full name.

Describe how you came to know Christ, and your growing relationship and walk with Him. Describe how your church and ministry activities shape your daily life and will strengthen the Vanguard community.
Applications cannot be reviewed without all supporting documentation. If possible, please submit transcripts electronically (e.g. Parchment). Unofficial transcripts, including student name and institution, may be scanned and emailed to admissions@vanguard.edu.
APPLICATION DEADLINES
Fall deadline:
- Early action (non-binding) deadline: December 1
- Priority deadline: January 15
- Regular decision deadline: March 2
- After March 2, applications will be considered on a rolling basis with decision upon receipt of supporting documentation.
Spring deadline:
- Regular decision deadline: December 1
Transfer

Pre-Nursing/Nursing
Two pathways to the BSN Pre-Licensure Degree
- Pre-Nursing for first-time freshmen and transfer students who need to complete prerequisite courses.
- Submit standard Undergraduate Application (under All Applicants above) by the January 15 Priority Deadline with all supporting documentation.
- Nursing for transfer students (current Vanguard undergraduates or transfers from other institutions) who have completed prerequisites and are ready to apply into the Nursing major.
- Transfers from other institutions – submit standard Undergraduate Application (under All Applicants above) by the December 1 Early Action Deadline with all supporting documentation to be considered for March on-campus interview dates.
- Qualified applicants (see BSN Admission Requirements below) will be invited to submit the Nursing Supplemental Application.
- Current Vanguard undergraduates – submit BSN Pre-Licensure Application Request available in Student Portal under All Forms > Graduate and Nursing by December 1.
- Qualified applicants (see BSN Admission Requirements below) will be invited to submit the Nursing Supplemental Application.
- Transfers from other institutions – submit standard Undergraduate Application (under All Applicants above) by the December 1 Early Action Deadline with all supporting documentation to be considered for March on-campus interview dates.
BSN ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Science Prerequisites – Three of five must be successfully completed (C or better) prior to acceptance.
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Anatomy
- Physiology
- Microbiology
Additional Prerequisites – Students must successfully complete (C or better) Psychology and Statistics to graduate with a BSN degree.
TEAS Exam – Exam must be completed with a minimum score of 65 prior to interview invitation. 75 is the preferred score for admission consideration. Register for the TEAS exam online.
Current Vanguard University undergraduates only may take the TEAS exam on the Vanguard University campus. Testing dates are typically offered in December and January.Admission is competitive and preference will be given to students with at least a 3.0 cumulative and a 3.0 science prerequisite GPA.
The fall 2022 entering class of 32 students had an average 3.8 cumulative and 3.8 science prerequisite GPA and 81 TEAS exam score.
The fall 2021 entering class of 32 students had an average 3.8 cumulative and 3.8 science prerequisite GPA and 80 TEAS exam score.

International

$45 non-refundable application fee
- Official Transcript(s) – all transcripts reflecting prior coursework must be submitted. Transcripts must be evaluated, not just translated, by an official agency.
- Official TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores. The minimum TOEFL score requirement is 80 on the web version. If English is the primary spoken language and medium of instruction at the institution(s) attended and at least two years of full-time study occurred at such institution(s), the TOEFL may be waived.
- Affidavit of Financial Support – If supported by personal and/or family funds, submit this form with an original bank statement in U.S. currency reflecting bank balance availability of the total amount listed below. If sponsored by a government or other official agency, an official letter stating that the funding and/or scholarship is valid for use at Vanguard University must be submitted.
- Copy of Valid Passport
- Students applying within the U.S. – must submit copies of their visa, I-94, and if on a student visa, copies of their I-20 A-B Form.

International students must be enrolled full-time and maintain a minimum of 12 credits each semester. International students are not eligible for any financial aid with the exception of institutional talent scholarships.
