Vanguard University is a place for everyone. A university where minority is the majority, Vanguard is a qualified Hispanic Serving Institution, and many students are first-generation college students. When you step foot on Vanguard’s campus, you will find that no matter who you are or what your background, you fit in here.
Vanguard’s heritage as an institution of the Pentecostal tradition was birthed out of the Azusa Street Revival in Los Angeles at the turn of the twentieth century. The movement generated a multicultural, multiracial, and gender-inclusive community of Spirit-empowered Christian believers who were committed to peacemaking and reconciliation through Jesus Christ. Today Vanguard holds true to its roots, continuing to welcome those from all walks of life.
