Important Deadlines

March 2

The FAFSA Priority Deadline: If you were not able to complete the FAFSA by March 2, we encourage you to submit it as soon as possible. The FAFSA school code for Vanguard University is 001293.

May 1
  • The National Candidate Reply Date for Admission: All incoming freshmen must submit the non-refundable enrollment deposit to confirm enrollment in the fall class.
  • Accept Your Financial Aid Offer: Once you receive your financial aid offer notification, login to Financial Aid Self-Service and accept or decline each award you have been offered.
June

Registration Statements are Sent: The Office of Accounting Operations will send a registration statement to students electronically that shows your charges and estimated financial aid. Please read this information thoroughly. All forms and payment for fall semester, including a payment contract, must be submitted by the Student Accounts Clearance deadline on August 1. If you do not receive your registration statement by the third week in June, contact the Office of Accounting Operations.

  • Verification Document Priority Deadline: All students selected for Verification should submit the required documents by June 1 in order to ensure that the process is complete by the Student Accounts Clearance deadline of August 1. Students selected for Verification were notified via their FAFSA Submission Summary sent by the US Department of Education after successfully completing the FAFSA. Failure to complete Verification will result in the cancellation of all federal and state financial aid.
July 1
  • Loan Priority Deadline: If you are borrowing a student loan to assist with meeting your educational expenses, all loan application processes (including establishing eligibility, completing loan entrance counseling and master promissory notes) should be completed by this date to ensure your loan funds arrive prior to the start of classes. If your loan requirements are not completed and received by the Financial Aid Office before the last day to add or drop a class for the semester has passed, your loans will be cancelled.

 

August 1

Fall Student Accounts Clearance Deadline: If there is a gap between the amount of financial aid that you have been awarded and the cost to attend Vanguard University, you will need to make payment arrangements with Office of Accounting Operations by this deadline.

October

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is available on October 1 each year. Complete the FAFSA using your prior, prior year federal tax returns and income information (e.g., 2022 for the 2024/25 academic year, 2023 for the 2025/26 academic year, etc.)
