For more than 100 years, Vanguard University has remained committed to our founding Christ-centered educational mission and has charted new paths to fulfill our calling. The Provost serves as the University’s Chief Academic Officer, establishing and implementing the university’s academic priorities and providing visionary and strategic leadership for all academic programs and services of the University, encompassing traditional undergraduate, professional, and graduate education programs in Vanguard’s three Schools and one College, a host of services and offices that support the educational mission, and Vanguard’s outstanding faculty.

About Ryan T. Hartwig

Dr. Ryan T. Hartwig joined Vanguard as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Vanguard University in the fall of 2022.

As Provost, he is responsible for setting academic objectives and strategy, cultivating a strong academic culture, and ensuring effective systems and structures are in place to fulfill and advance the Vanguard University mission, vision and values.
