Giving to the Library

Your generous support will enhance student learning at the O. Cope Budge Library at Vanguard University.

Ways to Give

Students in the Library

Library Endowment: The Library Endowment began in 2000 with gifts from the 1960s alumnae. It was intended to provide cutting-edge research resources for the library, including but not limited to, books, journals and online resources and purchasing new or upgrading existing resources that would have a direct impact on student learning. To date it has funded computers for the library lab, large screen monitors for the library lab, a new circulation counter and bookshelves for course reserves.

Bruce Lindsay Endowment: Bruce Lindsay was a frequent visitor to the VU Library. In 2009 Mr. Lindsay left a portion of his estate to the VU Library with the intention that the interest be used to facilitate the acquisition of resources specifically for student use. Funding from the Lindsay endowment has provided hex computer tables, a large book scanner, wall-mounted computers to search the library catalog, and was partnered with the Library Endowment for the remodel of the circulation area, including a new counter and bookshelves.

Library Gifts Fund: Gifts to this fund provide immediate access to acquire or enhance the Library's current resources, equipment or programming needs. It has funded specific book collections and provided funding for an ADA front door as well as other specialty projects.

Book Donations: Thank you for contacting the library (library@vanguard.edu) with details of potential book donation before transport. Due to limitation of space and staffing, the library cannot accept all donations.

Archives Donations: The VU Archives accepts donations of SCBS/SCBC/SCC/VU memorabilia, photographs, programs, posters, school newspapers, etc... Please contact the library staff at librarystaff@vanguard.edu with questions about donating to the university archives.
