Partnering with Convoy of Hope, this team will be deep into the recovery and restoration efforts of this island that was devastated by Hurricanes Maria and Fiona. Years after the hurricane Maria, there are still portions of the island that need significant rebuilding efforts, which are only more urgently in need after Fiona's recent impact. The Category 5 storm affected the entire island and has fueled a housing shortage and a suicide crisis. This team will be serving in rebuilding projects of communities, clean-up opportunities and filling in wherever may be needed to aid in restoration in partnership with the local church.

Significant mental health challenges have increased over the last several months. These neighbors need a reminder of hope and that they are still seen. This team will focus on meeting spiritual needs while assisting with the physical rebuilding.

Please note, your contribution is tax-deductible and non-refundable. If for any reason this team raises more than needed to cover the cost of the trip, the Global Education & Outreach Office will reallocate the funds to scholarship other students or provide additional ministry supplies. If due to some unforeseen circumstance a student is unable to participate in this trip, your gift will still be used to support the outreach efforts of Vanguard University.  In the unusual event that the trip is cancelled, your gift will be used for a future team or another global outreach of Vanguard University.
