Vanguard University Spring 2027 Nursing Application Now Open
Vanguard University is now accepting applications for its Spring 2027 Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) cohort, and transfer students interested in joining the program have a firm deadline to keep in mind: August 1.
Vanguard's nursing program runs two cohorts each year: one beginning in fall and one in spring, each accommodating 30 students. Both current Vanguard students and transfers from other institutions are eligible to apply. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee a seat.

Nursing Transfer Application Deadline: August 1 for Spring Cohort
Transfer applicants who have completed their prerequisites should submit the Undergraduate Application, along with all supporting documentation, by August 1 to be considered for the spring cohort's on-campus interviews. Required materials include transcripts from every high school and college attended, a Christian Experience Statement, responses to the program's nursing-specific questions, and contact information for two recommenders, both must be professors from previous coursework.
What You Need for the Vanguard BSN Nursing Application
Applicants must also submit official TEAS scores through ATI before July 15, with a minimum score of 65, though a 75 is preferred for competitive consideration. For context, the fall 2026 cohort of 30 students averaged a 3.86 cumulative GPA, a 3.85 science prerequisite GPA, and an 85 on the TEAS exam.
All five science prerequisites (Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology) must be completed with a C or better before acceptance.
Vanguard Nursing GPA and TEAS Score Requirements
"The addition of a spring nursing cohort gives transfer students another opportunity to apply to a competitive program that fills quickly," said Emma MacFarland, Admissions Operations Manager, "so as you review the prerequisites, TEAS, and GPA requirements, we encourage you to apply now before spaces fill up!"
Qualified spring applicants will be invited to a proctored writing session in early October, with final decisions issued by November 15.
Prospective transfer students are encouraged to begin gathering transcripts and recommender information well ahead of the August 1 deadline.
