Lia M Hansen, M.F.A.
Associate Professor of Theatre Arts, Costume and Makeup Design
M.F.A., San Diego State University; B.F.A., Technical Theatre, University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Professor Hansen has designed costumes and/or makeup for A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Company, The Glass Menagerie, Tom Sawyer, Into the Woods, Othello, Romeo and Juliet, and others during her thirty years as a designer. She has stitched at The Old Globe Theater and designed for Newport Theatre Arts Center, The Harlequin Dinner Theatre, Orange Coast College, and Golden West College before coming to VUSC. Teaching areas include: Makeup Design, Costume Design, and History of Theatre.
