2016 FAMILY WEEKEND SCHEDULE

Friday, September 30

9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Check In (in front of Scott Academic Center)
8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Class Attendance – Family members may join their students for their regularly scheduled classes. Students are encouraged to receive approval from the Professor for in-class visitors, prior to the day of the event.
12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Family Free Time Excursions – A full schedule of activities will be provided at check-in. Activities include Women’s Chorus & Orchestra Rehearsal, Concert Choir Rehearsal, Jazz Ensemble Rehearsal, Lunch ($5 per person), Paddle Boarding, Shopping & more.
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Lewis Wilson Institute (Heath 109) – Mark Hausfeld, President of AGTS will be sharing on Pentecostalism and Islam/Muslims.
4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Unpacked Party (Needham Chapel) – Come hear from students, staff & faculty who have participated in domestic & international mission trips, study abroad programs & academic intensives.
4:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Dinner (Cafe) – Adults and children are $5 each (cash only); Children three and under are free.

Saturday, October 1

8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Volunteer Opportunity- Sign up to serve at the Vanguard 5k
8:30 AM  Vanguard 5K Registration/ New Arrival Check In- TBD
9:30 AM  Vanguard 5K Celebration Party- TBD 
10:30 AM – 1:00 PM Brunch on Your Own (Cafe) – Should you choose not to join us for the Grand Opening Celebration, feel free to enjoy brunch on your own in the Cafe. Adults=$5, Children (5-10)=$5 (cash only)
12:00 PM  Coffee and Culture (Great Commission Hall) – Join our students in discussing Islam/ Muslims with Mark Hausfeld, President of AGTS.
1:30 PM - 7:00 PM Family Free Time Excursions - A full schedule of activities will be provided at check-in.

Shopping Activities (Orange County) – Use this time to go shopping in the Vanguard Bookstore and buy VU gear for your student or family. Shopping is also available at the Orange County Swap Meet, SoCo Farmer’s Market, The Outlets at Orange and more.

Athletics (Biola University)- Women’s Soccer & Men’s Soccer vs. Biola University
