Adam Hearron, a recent graduate from Vanguard’s SPS Psychology program, and his wife, Joanna, have just moved to Myanmar with Global Family, a non-profit organization that rescues and cares for abused and abandoned children. Another Vanguard graduate, Clark Jensen, founded this organization which currently has locations in India and Nepal. Adam and Joanna will be starting up the program in Myanmar and are some of the first Americans allowed into Myanmar since it has become a democratic nation. A student research team under the direction of Dr. Noreen Dulin represented the psychology department at the 2012 Social Sciences Colloquium. Ashley Armendariz, Lauren East, Rachelle Garcia, and Armando Melgoza presented their research findings on “Correlates of Life Satisfaction in College Students.” This research was also presented at the California State University San Marcos Psychology Conference. Congratulations to these researchers!

Vanguard University’s own Graduate Program in Clinical Psychology will be hosting an information meeting from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25 in the Great Commission Hall. During this time, the unique structure of this program will be explained and current students will be available to share their experiences. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and attend a portion of a class. If you attend this session and determine that this is the program for you, your application fee will be waived.
