Yvette Rodriguez ’07 has recently been promoted to Quality Improvement Coordinator at Western Youth Services in Orange County, CA. Among Yvette’s responsibilities are managing and overseeing program and staff compliance with quality assurance guidelines.
Sherise (Tetrault ’02) Valenty is engaged to be married to Eduardo “the man of my dreams” Rojo! The wedding will take place on Valentines’s Day 2009. Sherise is living in Costa Mesa with her son Rece (age 13). Sherise’s short-term goal is to work with special ed kids in the NMUSD school district at the elementary level, and she is considering teaching while pursuing the Master’s Degree in Psychology. Eventually, Sherise hopes to become a case manager for a group home, assisting foster care kids. (1/3/08)
Deanna Bommarito ’06 is Program Director at The Rose Rehabilitation Center in Newport Beach, CA. At The Rose, women “… begin to recover in mind, body, and spirit from the devastation of addiction.”
Abby Harrison ’07 is happy to report that she is a case manager and weekend supervisor at the Seattle Union Gospel Mission’s Women and Children’s Shelter. “It is a great place [that] helps women get back on their feet with a very wholistic approach.”
Heidi (Vieselmeyer ’95) Afusia is enjoying homeschooling her two children (see photo above) and runs iPASS tutoring (“At iPASS we develop the individual student’s highest academic potential through tutoring and test preparation.”) in Orange County, CA. Martha Perez ’07 is a Mental Health Specialist for Starview Communicty Services, providing home-based Functional Family Therapy (FFT)to high-risk adolescents and their families. Martha is also an Instructor with Para Los Ninos in Los Angeles. (8/31/07)

James Tapia ’89 for the past five years has been teaching Human Services and Psychology as an Adjunct Professor at Cypress College in Cypress, CA.
Meredith Munro ’04 will be completing the Couple and Family Therapy M.S. program at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA.
Alicia (Pegg ’02) O’Quinn and husband Brian are looking forward to building their house (that Brian designed) on a recently purchased lot in Central Point, Oregon. Alicia is also looking forward to working as a Behavioral Therapist for the Oregon Department of Human Services. Alicia will be using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis as she works with a 13-year-old boy with autism.
