Professor Presenting at the Midwest Political Science Association

Dr. Kevin Walker, Assistant Professor of History and Political Science, will be presenting at the Midwest Political Science Association (MPSA) Conference on April 11, 2013.  His paper is titled “When Progress Had an End: Happiness and Historicism in the Political Philosophy of Thomas Jefferson.”  This paper is an exploration of Thomas Jefferson’s understanding of the relationship between the principles of the Declaration of Independence and his vision of human perfectibility.  For those who are interested in reading his paper, click on the link below.
