Students seeking to enroll in one of the the music degree programs or those who are interested in participating in the University Ensembles are required to perform an entrance audition in their primary performing medium (i.e. guitar, voice, trumpet). Students who live within a 200-mile radius of Vanguard University must audition in person, all other students who are unable to attend a live audition may submit a video audition in their primary performing medium.

Students who wish to audition for the Music program are required to submit the online Audition Request Form before scheduling their audition or sending a video audition. For audition dates please contact the Department of Music by e-mail or at 714.619.6410.

Students entering their first semester at Vanguard University who are interested in applying for a Music Activity Scholarship may do so at the time of their audition. Priority deadline for Music Activities Scholarship funding will be April 1, 2012. For more information regarding eligibility for the Music Activity Scholarship, please contact the Department of Music.

Those accepting scholarships are required to attend Music Camp, which will be held the week before fall semester begins. Contact the Department of Music for registration information.
