Teacher Education Programs
The Graduate Program in Education offers a Teacher Education Program and a Master of Arts Program. Eligible students may apply their credential course work toward a Master of Arts in Education.
Vanguard University of Southern California is authorized by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing to offer credentials under SB 2042. The program is dedicated to a highly personalized approach to teacher education and graduate training. Candidates travel as a cohort, developing strong collaborative relationships throughout their professional training.
The Teacher Training Program is designed for candidates seeking the Single Subject Teaching Credential for secondary teaching (7-12) or the Multiple Subject Teaching Credential for elementary teaching (K-6). Vanguard University is authorized to recommend applicants for the following California Basic credentials: the Preliminary Single Subject (EL authorization embedded), the Preliminary Multiple Subject (EL authorization embedded), and the Professional Clear Credential (for eligible candidates only).
Students interested in the degree program should apply for M.A. degree standing from the onset. Please refer to the M.A. options available in the Master’s Program summary for admission and program requirements.
