Rigorous Academic Training

Vanguard University’s Master of Science in Clinical Psychology is committed to offering the highest quality of academic training to equip its students to serve with excellence as Christian mental health professionals. When students complete the program, they have all of the academic training necessary to pursue further studies or work as a therapist.
Our curriculum provides a strong theoretical base upon which to develop clinical skills. At the same time, the program is arranged so that students may complete all of their coursework in two years —in late afternoon and evening classes.
Vanguard’s graduate psychology faculty are deeply committed to our mission of equipping students to serve with excellence as mental health professionals. They are mentors who provide encouragement and support throughout the program.
Our Master of Science in Clinical Psychology exceeds the academic requirements necessary for licensing as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. We want our students to be thoroughly prepared to be effective mental health professionals.
