Senior Admissions Counselor


Mia is the Senior Admissions Counselor for prospective students interested in the Business, Psychology and Religion majors. Mia interviews and guides students through the steps necessary to apply to the Professional Studies program and acts as a liaison to the VU’s Veterans Resource Center for veterans interested in Professional Studies. Mia has earned her BA degree in Psychology from Vanguard University and is currently enrolled in a Master of Military Social Work at USC.

Matt is originally from Bakersfield, CA. He graduated from CSU Bakersfield in May of 2011 with a B.A. in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Sociology. Matt is now pursuing his M.A. in Leadership Studies from Vanguard, expecting to finish in August of 2016. In his spare time, you will find Matt hanging out with his wife, watching sports, and eating Del Taco.

Admissions Counselor


Amanda serves as the admissions counselor to all Early Childhood Education students. She also assists the Professional Studies admissions team with events and recruiting. Amanda graduated from Simpson University, a small private Christian college located in northern California. She graduated with her degree in psychology.

Wendy is also a native southern Californian. She was born in Laguna Beach, raised in the same home her parents still reside, and graduated from Laguna Beach High School.

She continued her education at Westmont College, earning a BS in Business/Economics and graduating Cum Laude. Wendy and her husband of more than 25 years, along with their 2 sons, have lived in Aliso Viejo since 1988. Being grateful for 17 years as a stay-at-home Mom and open to the Lord’s prompting a new adventure, she joined the Vanguard family in 2011.
