Professor of Sociology
Dr. Clarke is conducting a multi-year study and strategy for the improvement of services to the homeless population in the City of Costa Mesa. The Taylor Fund provided resources to analyze the water supply available to the homeless. Undergraduate students collaborated with Dr. Clarke on this project.
Director, Global Center for Women and Justice
Dr. Morgan has cultivated a long-term partnership with the University of Duhok in Northern Iraq studying the issue of and solutions to gender violence. The Taylor Fund provided resources for site-based interviews conducted by Dr. Morgan and undergraduate student researchers.
Professor of Kinesiology
Dr. Avans is working with Vanguard’s growing population of veteran students to increase their participation in physical activity in order to improve fitness and stress levels. The Taylor Fund provided resources to purchase outdoor fitness apparatus for the project, which was led by a professional studies veteran student.
