January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, but we can practice prevention all year long! Participate in daily prayers to end this human violence.
Week 12: Pray for Churches
The Church has served as a place of refuge for the sick, for the lost, and for the broken. It has been a gathering place for believers of Jesus Christ to worship and commune. And though it is a revered building, it is also the people of God. We are the church, a people set apart to do the work of Christ here on earth.
The church has also joined efforts in ending human trafficking. Many churches have created programs to help eradicate human trafficking through community education on this issue, assisting victims, providing training, collaborating with governmental agencies.
BE A VOICE
Heavenly Father, thank you for choosing to work through your people to do Your work in every nation. We pray that you continue to sustain your church and bring revival to congregations; mobilizing us to be your hands and feet to all people, in all places.
READ (1 Peter 2:9-10)
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
