The More Priceless than Diamonds Luncheon is an event hosted by Vanguard’s Global Center for Women and Justice to raise money and awareness for human trafficking and cyber exploitation of women and children in Orange County and worldwide.

Thursday, September 11, 2014: Lido Theater (Documentary Screening)

Time 6:00 pm | DVD Sales Table – SOLD Screening

*Includes manning the sales table and Receive and process cash or check payments for copies of the SOLD DVD

 

6:00pm|Event Setup & Greeter

*May include setting up tables, handing out program, collecting tickets, etc.

 

 

Friday, September 12, 2014: Vanguard University

10:00am-3:00pm |Stuffing Giveaway Bags

*Assemble packets of informational materials and place in a gift bag to give away at the luncheon on Saturday

 

3:00-5:00pm|Loading Materials

*Includes lifting and moving large (6’ x 6.5’) panels

*Loading a U-Haul with event materials

 

 

Saturday, September 13, 2014: Balboa Bay Club

9:00-10:15am|Event Setup

*May include placing items and giveaways at place settings in the ballroom, setting up registration tables, display tables, or any other event materials around the venue

 

10:15-11:30am|Event Hosting

Greeters

*Welcome guests at the door and in the hallway and direct them to the registration table and displays in the hallway

 

Registration

*Welcome guests, check them in, and give them their table cards and direction to their appropriate table

 

Door Ushers

*Greet guests and direct them to the appropriate table usher to take them to their table

 

Table Ushers

*Work with the door usher to help guests find their appropriate table

 

Display Host

*Watch over opportunity drawing items and answer questions on both the drawing and its items

 

SOLD DVD Sales Table

*Receive and process cash or check payments for copies of the SOLD DVD.

 

Opportunity Drawing Payment Processor

*Receive and process cash or check payments for ticket purchases for the Opportunity Drawing

 

1:00-1:30pm|Pledge Card Collection

*All Event Hosting volunteers will be asked to help with distributing and collecting pledge cards during the event’s program, you would be overseeing 2-3 tables

 

1:30-2:30pm|Event Teardown

*Includes lifting and moving large (6’ x 6.5’) panels

*Loading and unloading event materials from a U-Haul truck

 

A Volunteer Orientation will be held for this event at the Balboa Bay Club at 10:15am for Event Host volunteers, and will be held at arrival time for all help on Thursday the 11th or Friday the 12th, and Event Set-Up volunteers on Saturday the 13th.  We welcome any help you can give and would be excited to have you on our volunteer team for this event!
