Loan Process & Information

Please note that you are not required to complete the following steps if you decline the loans that have been offered to you. Listed below are the steps that you need to take in order for the Financial Aid Office to process the loans onto your student account.

  1. Sign into your MYVU Portal
  2. Accept or Decline  the loans offered (if declined loans, please stop here)
  3. Complete a Direct Loan Master Promissory Note and Entrance Counseling on www.studentloans.gov. (See instructions on Entrance Counseling below).

*This is a legal document that states that you will repay the loan once you graduate, withdraw, or drop below half-time. You are only required to complete one, which is valid for 10 years.
