Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Pennsylvania State University, M.A. in Business from Vanguard University, 1998-99 Fulbright Fellow from Germany.  Dr. Walter-Carney's teaching interests include 20th Century American Literature, Multiethnic Literature of the US, Environmental and Food Literature, and Women's studies.  She joined the Vanguard University faculty in 1994.
