KidWorks believes in the power of hope to change a single life, and in the power of a single life to change a family, a neighborhood and an entire community.  When a child believes their dreams are possible, they grow to realize those dreams- both for their own lives and for the lives of those around them.  We are partnering with KidWorks to teach K-5th graders financial literacy lessons to help them become financially smart when making decisions that involve money.  We believe that it is never too early to set the foundation of money saving skills.

Girls Inc

Project Leader: Abby Noble

Vanguard SIFE is looking to partner with Girls Inc., a non-profit organization that offers different educational programs to encourage girls, elementary to high school, to take risks and master challenges. Their purpose is to inspire girls to be strong, smart, and bold. In light of the recent market collapse, there is a pressing need to understand how our economy operates and the causes and effects of this current crisis. Our goal is to provide these girls with the knowledge and applicable skills they will need to understand the basics of our market economy. In order to create an engaging environment, we will use both fun and interactive techniques in all of our lessons.
