Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)

SIFE is teaming up with Professor Riggs to serve our community through volunteer income tax assistance. Students and members of SIFE will be working with low income families and students from around the area to prepare for the 2012 tax season.

“The IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) and the Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) Programs offer free tax help for taxpayers who qualify.”

SIFE Mixer

Thanks to those that came to the SIFE Mixer and signed up to participate in our various projects.  Attendees enjoyed a root-beer float, built towers out of marshmallows, and learned more about how to get involved.
