Baseball Alumni Game Festivities Rained Out

Costa Mesa, Calif - The Annual Alumni Baseball Game has been rained out for today, January 24th, 2009.  Yesterday's rain had already altered the schedule, but overnight and rain this morning has caused all festivities for the event to be canceled for the day.  Makeup dates are being discussed and considered, but no date has been secured at this time.  Vanguard's regular season begins next Saturday, and a complete VU baseball schedule can be found at the following link.  http://www.vanguard.edu/athletics/baseball/detail.aspx 

Alumni are urged to check the Vanguard baseball schedule page for a makeup date or contact Coach Ralph Grajeda via e-mail at Ralph.grajeda@vanguard.edu.   Remember to check the website on game day for any weather-related changes to the spring sports at Vanguard University.  Thanks for supporting the Lions.
