Vanguard University Guitar Ensemble to Perform on April 18

Come to a night of strumming guitar strings at Vanguard University’s Guitar Ensemble performance – and take the music home too!

As part of the University’s annual Celebration of the Arts, the Vanguard University Guitar Ensemble will perform at Needham Chapel on Thursday, April 18, at 7:00 p.m.  Directed by Greg Glancey, Ph.D., and Professor Michael Nigro, M.M., the Vanguard University Guitar Ensemble performs many styles of guitar literature from various musical periods.

At the end of the concert, the ensemble will release their first Guitar Ensemble CD, and you will definitely want to get your hands on this. The CD will feature 15 tracks from various artists and genres including: “Pontio” by Celso Machado, “Chippewyan Nail Dance” by Annette Kruisbrink, “Pacific Coast Highway” by Andrew York, and many more.
