Vanguard’s Theatre Department to Hold Auditions on April 17 for Fall Show

Vanguard News No Comments

Ready to take the stage? Come to the Vanguard University Department of Theatre Arts‘ auditions for the first show of the fall season: Narnia.

Auditions will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on April 17 in the Lyceum Theater. Students can sign up for a tryout at the front counter in the Fine Arts offices. Callbacks will be posted on the Lyceum door and will begin about a half-hour after the last audition.

Students should prepare a one-minute song that best features their singing and acting abilities. Something with an upbeat tempo or comedic style is preferred, theatre manager Bill Hughes said.

Also, if you plan to tryout for the other upcoming shows of the 2013-2014 season, mark your calendar for August 29, 2013. Auditions for Dancing at Lughnasa, directed by Susan K. Berkompas, and The Little Match Girl and The Gift of the Magi, directed by Kevin Slay, will take place then.
