Seminarians for Public Discourse, a Pasadena-based student-run initiative to promote civil public discourse, announces a panel discussion with leading commentators and professors who marry their faith into the public sphere.

The purpose of this project is to provide a forum in which seminarians, past and present, can bring into the sphere of public discourse the perspective provided by this filter by which we see the world. How does our faith provide a lens for which to understand and engage in public discourse?

On Thursday evening, Seminarians for Public Discourse will be launching this project by hosting several speakers who will shed light on how they understand public discourse and public theology. There will be a panel discussion between peoples of various backgrounds in the evangelical faith spectrum, as well as in the political spectrum. A Q&A session with the audience will follow.

Speakers include Jim Wallis, Scott Waller, and Vanguard University professor of political science, Dr. Darren Patrick Guerra.
