Costa Mesa, CA, May 28, 2014 – After an extensive review process, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) granted accreditation of the baccalaureate and master’s degree programs in nursing at Vanguard University. The nationally recognized CCNE accreditation demonstrates the program’s commitment to excellence and high standards in preparing outstanding graduates.

The CCNE Board of Commissioners awarded accreditation to the Vanguard University baccalaureate degree program at for 10 years, and to the master’s program for 5 years—both the maximum length of time given to ongoing and new programs respectively. For nurses who are evaluating prospective programs, the accredited status indicates that the selected program will advance them to the next level in their nursing career. For applicants to be considered for acceptance into a masters or doctoral degree program in nursing, a degree from an accredited university or program, such as this, is preferred.
