On Friday, February 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Vanguard University’s Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) chapter will host its 3rd annual Environmental Sustainability Conference on the Vanguard University campus. Geared towards both business professionals and students, the conference is being held to educate Orange County residents, the business community and an emerging generation of leaders about the effects of their choices as they relate to the environment. This event is great for those who feel called to do more than just make a profit.
Vanguard University’s Global Center for Women and Justice and student group Live2Free invite you to join them as they hold a candlelight vigil on Tuesday, February 1, at 6:00 p.m. in the Needham Courtyard on the Vanguard campus. The vigil will be a time for prayer and reflection for victims of modern day slavery and human trafficking.
Vanguard University’s highly acclaimed and award-winning department of theatre arts presents the clever Broadway musical, The Mystery of Edwin Drood in the Lyceum Theatre on the Vanguard campus from February 25 through March 6. Rupert Holmes wrote and composed this audience engaging musical based upon the unfinished final work of Charles Dickens.
Vanguard University 1999 alumnus Olivia Klaus ’99 is recognized by the Pixel Project as one of 16 female role models who are transforming personal plan into positive action. Her film, Sin by Silence, has been spotlighted as a major contributor to the ongoing fight against violence against women. Claus is making a significant impact in the film industry by shedding light on violence against women.
Vanguard University graduate Kristina Kuzmic ‘01 has gone from everyday mom to celebrity practically overnight, thanks to becoming a finalist on the newest show of the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). Oprah’s Your Own Show premieres Friday, January 7, 2011, 9/8c on OWN, and features everyday people like Kuzmic, who have the personality and vigor to have made it into this select group of finalists.
