Hi Everyone,
As I'm sure many of you have heard, I will be taking over Professor Dempster's MWF ENGL 220 class, and I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to you. However, before I do, I feel the need to apologize to each of you for the confusion regarding Wednesday's class session. I know that many of you were under the impression that I would be in class on Wednesday, and I hope my absence didn't cause you too much distress.
I have known Professor Dempster for a number of years, and while I never had the privelege of taking a class from Prof. Dempster I've witnessed both his passion and talent for teaching over the past several years. He will be missed while he is away from our campus, and I know that you'll join me in praying for his speedy recovery and good health for many years to come.
While he is away, Professor Dempster has left your class in my care, and I hope that we will be able to continue right where he left off. Prof. Dempster will be forwarding your annotated bibliographies to me very soon, and I will begin grading them as soon as I receive them. I hope to have them back to you in the near future.
As for our class sessions (beginning tomorrow, Monday, March 31st), we will use the remainder of this semester to continue working on your final project, the literary review. During class on Monday, we will discuss this in more detail, and I'm hoping that you will be able to help me get acclimated to your class environment.
I'm very excited to be joining you this semester; I only wish it could have been under better circumstances. I'll see you tomorrow!
Josh Harrison
