Purpose: 

Revival in ArgentinaThe Lewis Wilson Institute for Pentecostal Studies seeks to encourage and support the study of the Pentecostal and Charismatic movements. It does so by serving as a conference and research center for scholars, church leaders, students and others interested in probing the historical significance and contemporary global role of Pentecostalism and the Charismatic movements.

Activities of the Institute Include: 

  • Organizing conferences, lectureships, seminars and roundtables that focus on new Pentecostal scholarship and contemporary issues facing
    Pentecostalism and the Charismatic Renewal
  • General councilExpanding the holdings and archival materials in the Pentecostal collection housed in the O. Cope Budge Library encouraging undergraduate and graduate study in Pentecostalism
  • Awarding stipends to scholars in residence
  • Publishing a newsletter, occasional monographs and other materials pertinent to the study of Pentecostalism
  • Maintaining a Pentecostal studies Web page on the Internet
  • And sponsoring a variety of research and teaching activities focusing on the historical and contemporary significance of the racial, ethnic, and gender inclusiveness of the Pentecostal and Charismatic movements.
