Director of Institutional Research Announced/uploadedImages/Psychology/Praslova2.jpg

Vanguard's President has announced the appointment of Dr. Ludmila (Luda) Praslova as Director of Institutional Research. Dr. Praslova will continue with a half-time faculty appointment in Psychology while developing our institutional research capabilities. Dr. Praslova holds degrees from The Russian State University of Humanities, Moscow Theological Institute, and the University of Akron. The search committee was impressed with Luda’s experience and training in organizational psychology. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in both quantitative and qualitative research, including diversity research. In addition, she is bilingual in Russian and English and has held faculty, administrative and multicultural positions in Russia and in the States. Since stepping into the role in June, Dr. Praslova has already undertaken considerable steps to lay a new foundation for our institutional research, collaborating closely with academic, student affairs, enrollment management and registrar’s offices. Her work will help strengthen strategic planning and provide critical data for informed decision making.

Message from Dr. Praslova

"Vanguard is an amazing, vibrant academic community which works together in the spirit of Christian service to provide a wonderful educational experience. As a faculty member, I have been blessed in countless ways by my Vanguard colleagues and students. I am now excited to have this opportunity to serve my community in a new institutional research capacity and to address our strategic data needs to help facilitate continuous improvement and development.  I look forward to working staff, faculty and administration toward this common goal. While this goal is challenging and multifaceted, I know that our Vanguard community finds strength not only in our talents but, most importantly, in our Lord and His mighty work (Psalm 18)."

Blessings,

Ludmila
