A teaching credential from Vanguard University provides the training you need to help you fulfill your calling to the classroom.

Program Length
May be completed in two semesters. Prerequisite coursework for the credential may require an additional semester of study.

Single Subject Students
First Semester
Tuesdays & Thursdays: 4 - 9 p.m.
One Friday: 4 - 9 p.m.
Five Saturdays: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Second Semester
Wednesdays: 4 - 7 p.m.
Teaching five days per week:
7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. | Multiple Subject Students

Mondays: 4 - 7:30 p.m.

Prerequisites
CBEST
Subject Matter Competence:
POLS 155C - U.S. Constitution / U.S. Government
EDUC 315 - Teaching in a Multicultural Setting with 30 hours multicultural fieldwork (3 units)*
ANTH/ENG 453 - Language, Culture, and Linguistics (3 units)*
* Qualified candidates may be allowed to complete these courses as co-requisites.
Combined with Master of Arts in Education
Just twelve additional units (four classes) are required to complete a Master of Arts in Education. Combined Teaching Credential and MA may be completed in four semesters (two years). Prerequisite coursework for the credential may require an additional semester of study.
