New Student Registration
Welcome to the New Student Academic Registration page! This page is to be used as a resource and guide for Academic Registration.
In order to register for classes, you must have done the following:
- Sent in your Enrollment Deposit and Housing Forms to the Undergraduate Admissions Office
- Received Academic Advising from an Admissions Counselor by attending an Academic Advising Event at Vanguard University or scheduling an Academic Advising Phone Call with your Admissions Counselor
If you haven't done this you may sign up for Academic Advising by clicking on the New Student Academic Advising Registration form.

Plan Your Program
The following resources will help you as you plan for class registration. Please familiarize yourself with this information prior to your Academic Advising.
- Schedule of Classes: In order to choose your classes, you may refer to the Fall 2009 Class Schedule provided. This schedule includes the Academic Calendar, Final Exam Schedule, and Course Listings. Be sure to click on Undergraduate Fall 2009.
- Four-Year Plan: The Four-Year Plan is a planning resource you can use as you select the classes you'd like to enroll in. Following this plan does not guarantee completion of a degree in four years. Click on the link above to access the Four-Year Plan for your major. If you are undecided on what you want to major in, simply choose the "Undecided" link.
- Major Checklists: Major Checklists will list all the classes you need to take according to your major to graduate. If you are undecided, you will want to click on the "Undecided" link. In the "Undecided" link, you will see a list of all the Core Curriculum (general education) classes that every student at VU needs to take before graduating.
- Cornerstone Class: All first-time freshmen students must enroll in a Cornerstone class in the first semester of coursework. Cornerstone is an introductory class to University life and learning. During your Academic Advising session with your Admissions Counselor you will determine which Cornerstone class to enroll in.
- Daily Schedule Planner Sheet: Print out this Planner Sheet and fill in your schedule to help you see what your class schedule will look like.
